At 2347hrs on Sunday May 7, 2017 Ambulance 307 (Thurmont Community Ambulance), Medic 30 (Frederick County Advanced Life Support), Rescue Squad 10, and Engine 101 were dispatched to Route 15 South in the area of the 31 Mile marker for a report tractor trailer roll over. Medic 30 arrived first on the scene and confirmed a single tractor trailer rolled over on Route 15 between Roddy rd and N Franklinville Rd blocking all southbound lanes and that all occupants were out of the vehicle. Rescue Squad 10 arrived a few minutes later, Sgt Chad Brown established command while crews checked for hazards, leaks and determined what the trailer was carrying. It was determined that the trailer was carrying paper rolls, and there were no hazards of fuel leaks. The single occupant of the truck was not hurt and refused EMS care. Engine 101 remained on scene for a period of time to assist with traffic control. Route 15 South bound lanes remained closed for approximately 3 hours while a tow company uprighted the truck and hauled it away. Rescue Squad 10 remained on the scene until the truck was upright for precaution of any kind of hazards. All units were cleared and returned to service at 0230 hours.
